New and exciting

Last year, we launched Artists for Climate, our open call for digital illustrations on climate change, in collaboration with Countdown, TED’s global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis. We received a whopping 2,222 submissions by 1,432 artists from 95 countries. The final selection of artworks resulted in The Climate Collection – our unique open-license vault of illustrations on climate, with a focus on hope and solutions. It’s an invaluable resource and tool for non-profits, campaigners, and educators from around the world, working towards climate action.

We also ran nine SPRINTS (our weekend-long creative bootcamps for visual artists) on the topic of climate change. We partnered with nine
leading TEDx events in Brazil, Canada, South Africa, India, Italy, Russia, Spain, UK and Mexico, and worked with nearly 60 artists. Apart from producing a ton of amazing open-license visual works, the local events also held pop-up exhibitions, discussions, projection mappings, and more!

No more zoom calls. Not feeling any pressure to leave a legacy and be remembered. Finally being part of a historic event. There are SO MANY advantages of facing extinction. As an ode to silver linings, we made a piece to celebrate climate change ending it all.

The Advantages of Facing Extinction is a participatory art piece by Fine Acts, inspired by the Guerilla Girls, and made in collaboration with TED. It is currently being exhibited at TED 2022 in Vancouver.

As this is a living piece, we are looking for contributions – but even more so, for meaningful action to change climate change.

We created a collection of free posters – all yours to use in your protest actions. Download them at The Greats, from our anti-war collection.

We’re designing these with fonts from @kyiv_type_foundry – a brilliant Ukrainian type foundry that we love. All proceeds from font sales go to support the people of Ukraine.

Furthermore, with the amazing help of our dear partners over at @artlink.app, our Anti-War Poster Collection is now available as an AR filter for your protest actions anywhere in the world.
