For Labor History Month, together with our partners the Miami Workers Center, we launched the Dignity For All open call to highlight the critical issues of workers’ and housing rights.

The call attracted nearly 50 submissions from talented artists across the US and beyond, each contributing their unique perspective on the themes of solidarity and community.

10 artworks that exhibit an exceptional relevance to the topic of workers’ and housing rights were selected as finalists. The awarded artists include Hannah Moren, Caro Gutierrez, Bibi Sakata, Nikita Abuya, Michael Kim, Susie Oh, Oliwia Bulanda, Preeti Singh, Tsveta Pesheva, and Tara Tabassi.

The resulting collection of 13 captivating illustrations is available online under an open license on TheGreats.co, our unique global platform dedicated to open-licensed socially engaged visuals. All these artworks, published in the Labor Rights collection on the platform, are free for non-commercial use and adaptation by nonprofits, activists and educators, ensuring that the messages of equity, dignity, and justice continue to spread far and wide.

This collection once again underscores the importance of visual art in promoting social justice. By showcasing diverse characters and hopeful visions for the future, these illustrations provide a powerful tool for advocating for workers’ and housing rights, highlighting the interconnected struggles and the resilience of communities fighting for a better world.
