Sharmistha Ray is an artist, writer and curator living in Mumbai and New York. Her evolving sense of selfhood is reflected in a diversity of forms and materials that investigate the poetics of being. A TED Fellow, she has founded innovative and experimental art platforms in India to widen and popularize discourse, including the blog Politics of Art and cultural salon/open studio program BELLEVUE BRUNCHES. She is also the recipient of notable awards and commissions, such as the Montblanc Young Artist World Patronage project and Joan Mitchell M.F.A. Grant. An architect and high-end luxury interior designer by profession, Shirin Kumaana-Wadia is Associate Principal at Pierre Court Design, heading the Hospitality Design Team spread over three offices in New York, Lyon and Manama. Her passion for landscape photography culminated in her first solo exhibition To Eternity and Back in Mumbai in 2013, which garnered major media attention in India and the diaspora. To further spread her message of love, peace and harmony, Shirrin started a motivational blog Shirrin - £ove & Miracles which has a widespread following on social media. Her independent New York-based design consultancy firm MAZDA Designs, also earned her a nomination for the Young Zoroastrian Entrepreneur/ Professional Award 2013 by the World Zoroastrian Chamber of Commerce. Alongside her professional design work, passion for photography and blogging, Shirrin is a semiprofessional dancer, trained in various styles of Latin American, Afro-Cuban and Classical Ballet. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
