How We Work
Fine Acts is exploring the intersection of human rights and art and its potential to catalyze social change. We curate, commission and promote contemporary art with purpose. We bring together activists and artists from across the globe to work on collaborative art projects. Our core Collective currently features over 40 TED Fellows, and is growing to include other prominent artists and advocates.
The main pillars of our work include:
Calls for works - where we collaborate with human rights advocates on thematic creative briefs, and invite artists to submit proposals for artworks. Selected artists are then consulted by advocates in creating their work. By now we have curated two collections, PEACE (2015) and SEEKING SAFETY (2016), both ongoing. The theme of our next call will be announced soon.
Targeted campaigns - where we select groundbreaking nonprofits and create tailor-made, awareness-raising, participatory campaigns for their needs, by involving artists, technologists and data experts. In 2017 we launched MONUMENT #1, together with the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee. Currently we are developing the PROJECT LIGHT campaign (2017), together with Peek Vision.
