Call for a freelance consultant
Social media strategist - Reimagining Human Rights
Reimagining Human Rights is a project by Fine Acts and hope-based comms. We will work with the global creative community to produce a suite of hopeful, visual and evergreen content that human rights groups can use to engage new audiences and build values-based, emotional support for the human rights cause.
This is a part-time consultancy involving a total of 80 hours of work from November 2020 to February 2021.
We are looking for someone who believes in ‘integrated communications’ - mixing traditional press relations with social media and digital marketing to change minds and win debates.
In this role you will carry out a new kind of work that could be called ‘Narrative Organizing’, bringing together human rights groups of different shapes and sizes around the world to encourage them to start telling a shared story about what human rights are and why they matter.
This will include:
Reaching out to and liaising with various human rights groups to involve them in the project.
Preparing a social media toolkit to encourage use of human rights-themed artworks.
Drafting a range of social media posts to amplify the project’s outputs.
Promote the project and the artworks, reaching out to human rights groups, social media influencers and news media.
Nurturing a cooperative network of digital communicators in the human rights field.
Supporting the writing, editing, distribution and promotion of a visual messaging guide for human rights.
If you are interested in this role, please send your CV to community@hope-based.com
